State Law Privacy Rights

Additional information for California, Connecticut, Minnesota, & Oregon residents

Scope. Except as otherwise provided, this section applies only to residents of California, Connecticut, Minnesota, Oregon, and other U.S. states with privacy laws applicable to us that grant their residents the rights described below (such laws, “State Privacy Laws”). The rights described and disclosures made below apply to you only as required in your state of residence.

This section contains information about our practices required by State Privacy Laws. For purposes of this section, “personal information” has the meaning given to “personal data,” “personal information,” or similar terms under the applicable State Privacy Law in which you reside but does not include information exempt from those laws.

For example, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and state privacy laws in Connecticut, Minnesota, and Oregon do not apply to information covered by our U.S. Consumer Privacy Notice or handled in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Your privacy rights. If you’re a resident of a state with a State Privacy Law, you may have the following rights under applicable law:

To submit a request to exercise your rights to know, access, correction, or deletion, submit an online request here or calling us at (855) 245-3614. You may also appeal our response to your request to exercise privacy rights via the same submission process described above.

To submit a request to opt-out with respect to personal information sharing/sales/processing for targeted advertising facilitated by cookies and other web technologies used by the Service, click “Your Privacy Choices” at the bottom of our webpage and follow the instructions or enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser before you visit our site. Learn more at the Global Privacy Control website: https://globalprivacycontrol.org. Your request will apply only to the browser and the device from which the request is submitted.

To opt-out of any sharing/sales of personal information that results from our activities not covered by opt-out requests submitted through the mechanisms described in the paragraph above (such as manual sharing of personal information that is not facilitated by cookies or other web technologies), submit an opt-out request here.

The rights described above are not absolute, and in certain cases, we may decline your request as permitted by law. We cannot process your request if you do not provide us with sufficient detail to allow us to understand and respond to it.

Identity verification. We need to verify your identity to process your requests to exercise your rights to know, access, deletion, and correction, and we reserve the right to confirm your state of residency so that we know which state law applies. To verify your identity, we may require you to provide identifiers we can match against information we may have collected from you previously, confirm your request using the email or telephone number stated in the request, provide government identification, or provide a declaration under penalty of perjury, where permitted by law.

Authorized agents. Your authorized agent may make a request on your behalf upon our verification of the agent’s identity and our receipt of a copy of a valid power of attorney given to your authorized agent pursuant to applicable state law. If you have not provided your agent with such a power of attorney, we may ask you and/or your agent to take additional steps permitted by law to verify that your request is authorized, such as information required to verify your identity and that you have given the authorized agent permission to submit the request.

Sensitive personal information. To the extent that state privacy law where you live classifies data you voluntarily provide to us as “sensitive,” you agree that by providing this sensitive data you affirmatively confirm that you freely give your informed, unambiguous agreement to our use and disclosure of this data for the purposes explained at the time of collection or otherwise as described in this Privacy Policy. You may contact us to withdraw or revoke such consent if you are unable to do so via mechanisms we may provide via the Service.

Retention of personal information. We generally retain personal information to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, to establish or defend legal claims, or for fraud prevention purposes. The length of time we retain particular categories of personal information is determined based on whether it is sufficient to achieve such purposes. When we no longer require the personal information, we may either delete it, anonymize it, or isolate it from further processing.
